The New Roo Blue Subaroo!

by Marissa on 16 July 2006

As I’ve referenced in previous posts, The Princess (my ’91 Toyota Camry) completed her tour of duty as my trusty and beloved automobile, making it through college, three years of work, and then three years of law school… and then quietly died in my driveway.

Thus, an opportunity was borne, and I’m excited to say, I bought a new car!!

It’s the first new car I’ve ever owned–or driven, for that matter. I LOVE IT. She’s a 2007 Newport Blue Pearl (color that Daddio calls "Roo Blue") Subaru Forester, 2.5X Premium, with Desert Beige cloth interior, 4-speed automatic. More details on her features are given below the photographs.

Oh–and when I bought her, she had 28 miles on her. 28! :) (And most of them were mine, from test drives.)

At the dealership with the new “Subaroo.”
(Unfortunately, having "subaru" removed from the back and replaced with "Subaroo" was not an available option. Odd, considering how they spelled their dealership name, yeah?)

With the salesman, Ted Mekianov, who was a very good salesman with whom to work.
I highly recommend him if you’re in the market for any Honda, Acura, Subaru, or Toyota (he sells them all)!
The rearview (in my driveway)

The rear hatch open, showing the cargo area.
One part of the back seats is folded down so that Ernie, when he’s riding with me, can run back and forth between the cargo area and back seat area.

The front (isn’t she cute?!)

The inside front

The console
Six-CD Kenwood changer, iPod hook-up, auto climate control, seat heaters, daytime running lights, four separate storage compartments plus the glovebox… it’s awesome!

The transmission
(Yes, I know that’s the steering wheel. Even I’m not that stupid about cars. Well, not quite.)

The driver’s side
I think the color is actually a bit lighter than it shows here; it’s in a shadow. It’s more of a sky blue than a royal or navy blue.

I go crusin’ around in my cute new car, lovin’ it!
