BOOLAR. VALPO. LAW SCHOOL. ‘NUFF SAID.

Yup, I’m Boolar. And if you’re visiting this page, then you probably have a little background as to who I am–I’m the Ape. Not “an” ape, but THE Ape. I have tried to convince folks to refer to me as “The Ape formerly known as Boolar” and to replace my name with a Banana symbol, but so far, that hasn’t worked. I reside happily with a good friend, M, who keeps me stocked with bananas and doesn’t yell at me when I stay up late watching TV and practicing gymnastics in her living room.

I have decided to attend law school because, let’s face it, if you want an Ape lawyer, where can you turn? There is a shortage of Ape attorneys in America. I’ll be the first. The greatest. (It’s easy to be the greatest when you’re the only Ape attorney, but let’s not get bogged down in details.) M and I have therefore moved to Valparaiso where I will attend Valparaiso University School of Law. M had to come with me; she’s the one who took the LSAT’s for me, and she’ll probably end up attending class for me alot of the time too. Something about rules against jungle mammals in city buildings… and the old “no shoes, no shirt, no pants, no service” rigamarole. I’m covered in fur, for crying out loud, but that doesn’t count. I think M’s grandma may have been a driving force behind that pro-clothing policy.

Whatever the cause, I’ll rely heavily on M to help me out. But I’m fairly self-sufficient…having opposable thumbs and everything.

I’m Blogging to keep our family and friends updated as to what M and I are up to in Valpo. Initially, this will be text-only, but I’ll be able to add pictures soon, I think. I’ll try to be detailed whenever possible (i.e., when homework isn’t bogging me down) but I would expect my posts to be shorter and less frequent when school begins. (That’ll happen August 25-26–orientation–and then classes start on August 27.)
