BOOLAR CREATES FUN STUFF.

I have created three “oracles”.

The first is The Marilyn Monroe Oracle: Words of Wisdom Presented By Marilyn Monroe. This gives you a quote, chosen randomly from a growing pool of quotes (currently over 200 available) as well as a picture of Marilyn herself, chosen randomly from a small pool (only 8 shots availble now). Once you’re at the page, you can hit the “refresh” button on your browser to obtain another randomly chosen quote and picture.

The second is Bushisms: The Unintentional Wit of George W. Bush. This page will give you one of over 100 actual quotes from our 43rd president, all of which are hilarious (or sad, depending on your viewpoint) in their own right. Again, once you’re at that page, you can keep hitting the refresh button on your browser to keep getting new quotes shown to you.

The third is The Grinning Dachsund. This functions like those “Magic 8-ball” toys, except The Grinning Dachsund has a much larger set of possible responses to your YES-OR-NO questions. So, ask a question, and click on the link to get your answer. As before, once you’re at the page, you can always ask another question and then hit your browser’s refresh button to get the next answer. BOOLAR GETS WIRELESS. THEN LOSES WIRELESS. THEN GETS WIRELESS. THEN LOSES WIRELESS…

Marissa’s Dad visited us yesterday and got us all hooked up with Verizon DSL service (hooray, high-speed internet that doesn’t take away our phone line!!). He also got my computer to work wirelessly. Then, when I woke up this morning, I could no longer work wirelessly on my own connection. Oddly, I could work wirelessly using BW3 (the restaurant down the street)’s connection! Funny. That connection just popped up, I didn’t even have to look for it.

Anyway, after much messing around and attempting various tricks, my wireless connection is now available again, but I can’t actually surf the web on it! So, I remain cabled to surf the internet… but at least it’s using HIGH SPEED access, and it’s not tying up the phone line.

Marissa’s Dad is going to visit us again tomorrow to see if he can figure this little problem out, once and for all.

We’ll keep hoping. Until then, thanks to BW3 and their unsecure wireless network!

While Marissa’s Dad was here, I got to have my photo taken. Many times! So, in the very near future, I will have new photos to display on the web. Stay tuned for that.

Of course, I love reality television. Critics of the genre, your words fall on deaf ears here!! Tonight’s another eviction night. If you’re not watching BIG BROTHER IV on CBS, doggone it, start! (Of course, this season as televised is really boring. You have to faithfully check the web feeds–or the websites that recap the web feeds– to get much out of this season.)
