Wearing the wig I used to impersonate a librarian, Mike somehow bears an odd resemblance to my Dad’s old pal, Rod Stewart.

N8, a huge fan of Rod Stewart (who, in turn, is a big fan of Little Penguin chardonnay), says Halloween gets a “Thumbs up!”

N8, on the other hand, looks nothing like Rod Stewart. Mike looks like… Mike holding a glass of wine.

Everyone, grab a wig, and strike a pose. Vogue!

An ode to Daddio: the inevitable “self-portrait” at home. No, I have no idea why Mixmaster Probst is “growling” at the camera.

Eeeek! This was supposed to be a Dad-esque self portrait of the LRC (library research crew) dancing… but, a la Dad, I managed to get my own big head in the way and cut out N8 and most of Katie.

We weren’t the only great costumes there… here our friends Becca & Josh pose as a bowling pin and bowling ball.

Another creative (and so-true-it-hurts) costume: A personal favorite.

The irony: Persyn snapping a photo of a hilarious tribute to the Valpo “honor code.”
(For those unaware, we are all required to write “I have neither given nor received unauthorized aid” and sign our names to that, at the end of every assignment.)

N8 always hoped for a career as a Fabio-esque model on the cover of cheap paperback romance novels. (I love the unintentional added jab of his shirt, proudly proclaiming that chicks “dig” him.) This wasn’t N8′s costume; this is just hammin’ it up for the camera.
