Great News from The Working World

I received an email today from The Firm (yes indeed, the I can’t wait to litigate with that team! job)… and I got a payraise. Seriously. I don’t start there until September, 2006, but I got a payraise.

Effective January 1, 2006, they are hiking up their associates’ starting salaries, making them the highest-starting-salary firm in Indiana. I’m just… bamboozledly happy. And I know bamboozledly is almost certainly not a word, but that’s where I’m at. I just can’t believe it. It seems unreal, and I’m just so happy, and so grateful, and so excited that maybe everything really does happen and come together the way it’s supposed to.

The day was already picture-perfect… now, it’s glowing.

P.S. This news made my Dad, in his words, “lung his food,” which really made me laugh. RICE!!! Someone get the RICE!!!
