The Bracke Daily Gazette is sad to report the passing of one beloved, though ornery, hamster named Oreo.
At age (approximately) 1 1/2, Oreo died relatively young, following in the footsteps of her idols, Steve McQueen and James Dean. She passed away in her sleep, no doubt dreaming of a land full of shelled walnuts to eat and endless rows of wire cage walls to climb.
Oreo is survived by a menagerie of characters: her brother, Captain Furious; two sisters, Joey and Dooley; close friends Bert the Monkey, Boolar the Ape, Emmet the Cow, and Harry the Bear; and sad parents, Rissa and Nate.
R.I.P. Lil’ girl.
